Pre-school children (2-5 years)
Workshop sessions last for one hour for pre-school and P1-3 stages.
Pre-school children aged 2 years - £6 per session.
Children aged 3-5 years- £7 per session.
Printing techniques - using a shared story as the stimulus,
print-making of our own version of the story. Investigating a
variety of colour, effects, textures, sensory materials and
Drawing/Painting – inspired by our story, we will create shapes
within shapes in many colours, types of line and sizes. Painting
while exploring lines and marks on different materials and surfaces.
Model-making- based on our stories, we will imagine and create our
own story characters as we see them! Using clay, salt dough and
modelling clay, we will bring the characters to life!
Working together and helping each other to think of different
ways to make lines, colours, shapes and textures.

Primary Class Workshops (P1-P3)
FOCUS on PROBLEM SOLVING and DECISION -MAKING. Skills for life!
Using a variety of media- paint, pastels, chalks, inks, clay
and discovering new innovative ways of using them! (Not always
in a way you would expect either!).
Drawing- observing what we see around us and finding different
ways to show this using line, shape and colour. The world
according to you!
Texture and modelling- investigating textures, materials and how
we can combine and layer materials to create exciting and
unique 2D and 3D models. Your very own construction site!
Working together, having fun and sharing ideas as a group!

Primary Class Workshop (P4-P7)
FOCUS on SKILLS and ASPIRATION. Masterclass sessions with local artists and visits to art installations.
Each session for P4-7 children - £10 and lasts 90 minutes.
Exploring how to create paper sculpture and 3D models using
different media and effects. (Printing, painting, collage,
puppet making). Bringing our drawings and paintings to life!
Observational drawing- what do I see? How do I show this? Let
me show you! (Pens, pencils, charcoal). Different ways to
record what we see and how we express our own ideas.
Light and dark- looking at light and shadows (charcoal,
pastels, paint). Fun with torches, shadows and mirrors! Using
light to explore contrast and its amazing effects.
Sharing our ideas about other artists and our own work!
